About me

In my practice I use a mixed approach of structural and functional techniques in order to tailor the patients' needs. Within my treatments, I put my focus on a gentle patient-centred approach to identify the cause of their problems. I enjoy taking the time to understand the patients' needs and make sure I can respond to their expectations as best as I can. Whilst I enjoy taking care of all patients, I have a particular interest in treating babies and mum to be.

I graduated from the European School of Osteopathy (ESO) in 2017 and have since worked in both the UK and Belgium. I also partake in teaching within the international department at the ESO. Since graduating, I have further my knowledge in paediatric osteopathy, obstetrics, visceral as well as cranial osteopathy and osteopathy within the fluid fields.

PHILOSOPHY

It is time I introduce you to the new addition to the clinic, Bonnie Wong. As some of you know already, I am off on maternity leave from the end of April and Bonnie will be looking after you whilst I take some time away from the clinic.

Before advancing her osteopathic career, Bonnie worked as a holistic therapist in Hong Kong. where she gained a deep appreciation for holistic care. With a degree in psychology, she brings a deeper understanding of the mind-body connection to her practice.

Bonnie enjoys working with patients of all ages and backgrounds, with a particular interest in supporting moms, babies, and individuals who experience tension or find it difficult to relax.

In the treatment room, Bonnie takes the time to explain her thought process and the rationale behind her approach. She believes that patients should understand the root cause of their issues to empower them to continue their recovery journey beyond the treatment room.

Bonnie believes in the uniqueness of every individual and is committed to delivering personalised care. By using a variety of techniques—including structural, cranial, and visceral approaches—she tailors her treatments to suit each patient’s specific needs.

In addition to her passion for osteopathy, Bonnie has a love for food and enjoys cooking and baking. To maintain a healthy balance, she keeps active with running, going to the gym, and spending time in nature, allowing her to enjoy her love of food guilt-free.

WHAT IS OSTEOPATHY?

What is osteopathy?

Osteopathy is a holistic manual therapy looking at diagnosing and treating a wide range of medical conditions. The osteopathic approach is patient-centred and is looking at restoring a balance in order for the body to function as a whole. Osteopathy can treat patients from all ages, from babies to elderly to pregnant women.

During the assessment, as osteopaths believe there may be a number of contributing factors to the symptoms, the osteopath will look at the body as a whole and may ask you further questions about trauma, environmental factors and family history during the case history in order to have a better understanding of the presenting complaint.

Osteopathy is based on the principle that the body has a self-healing mechanism, this self-healing mechanism can be altered through physical or emotional trauma etc. Osteopathic treatment can help restoring this self-healing mechanism through various types of techniques such has structural mobilisation/manipulation, visceral osteopathy, cranial osteopathy, etc.
